Inside Sales Specialist – Spares & Consumables

(Based in The Netherlands, Breda area)


A dedicated and technically proficient Inside Sales professional supporting global demand for Skalar’s spares and consumables portfolio. Focused on delivering fast, accurate, and customer-centered service across international markets, this role ensures continuity of laboratory operations by managing all inbound and outbound sales processes related to replacement parts and consumables for Skalar’s analytical instrumentation lines, including SAN++, Primacs, Formacs, BluVision, and SP2000 platforms. The Inside Sales Specialist has a Commercial Drive and Solution-Oriented Mindset, with a a true hunter mentality: proactive, resilient, and unafraid to face challenges head-on. He or she is constantly seeking opportunities and innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive results.


The job:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries related to spare parts and consumables.
  • Prepare timely quotations, process sales orders, and provide accurate product recommendations based on system configurations (e.g., segmented flow analyzers, TOC systems, robotic platforms).
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge across Skalar’s entire consumables and spares portfolio, ensuring correct part identification and cross-referencing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service, Logistics, and Production departments to ensure stock availability, timely deliveries, and technical compatibility.
  • Support lifecycle management by proactively informing customers about consumables nearing reorder thresholds and promoting upgrades where applicable.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales data in Skalar’s CRM and ERP systems to support forecasting and account management.

The Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of Skalar's instrumentation and related consumables (tubing, reagents, detectors etc.)
  • Strong customer relationship management, especially with laboratories in environmental, food, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & German (additional language such as French is an asset).
  • High attention to detail in technical documentation and part compatibility.
  • Familiarity with international logistics and export documentation is a plus.
