About the Internship
Are you an independent and collaborative team player with a passion for finance and digital process optimization? Then this internship is your opportunity to make an impact. You will actively contribute to the implementation of smart software for scanning and processing purchase invoices, supported by an experienced team member and in close cooperation with a selected software supplier.
This is a hands-on role where you will help shape and implement a more efficient, automated invoice workflow—an essential part of our financial process optimization.
What You’ll Work On
Your internship will be structured around a clearly defined project with real business impact:
Analysis & Preparation
- Identify key departments and stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, IT).
- Evaluate whether the new software is compatible with the current ERP and IT systems.
- Design a workflow for the approval and processing of purchase invoices.
Process Design
- Determine how invoices are received (email, paper, portal).
- Define the steps for scanning, OCR recognition, processing, and approval.
- Assign clear responsibilities for each process stage.
Technical Setup
- Configure OCR settings for automatic data recognition from invoices.
- Link the software to our accounting/ERP system.
- Test various invoice formats (PDFs, scanned images, e-invoices).
- Set up validation mechanisms to minimize processing errors.
Training & Implementation
- Create clear instructions and train the finance and procurement teams.
- Troubleshoot issues and monitor the transition to the new process.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Collect feedback from users.
- Propose and implement process improvements.

- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or similar.
