TEST AUTOMATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER
(living in the Netherlands, preferable in the area of Breda)
As a Test Automation Software Engineer you are driven by quality and have good communication skills. You enjoy working in an agile team and are involved in the entire software process. Together with the product owner and the rest of the team, you set up test scenarios and implement them.
The department:
The R&D department consists of 18 FTE and has employees with a background in electronics, chemistry, mechanics and software. Together they work intensively to achieve adjustments to existing applications, but they are also responsible for the development of completely new applications. The department works multidisciplinary and often on a project basis, where the quality of our products is of paramount importance.
The function:
- Maintaining existing tests and writing new test cases
- Test cases for front-end (web application) and backend
- Drawing up test criteria (together with manual testers)
- Performing risk analyses
- Management and maintenance of the test management system
- Improving test and software development processes
- Co-determining and setting up test strategy for new projects
- Close cooperation with test team and software team
- Possibility to grow into Frontend developer (React)
What do we ask from you:
- Completed HBO education supplemented with at least 3 years of experience in test automation or front-end development
- ISTQB certification
- Good knowledge of English and preferably also Dutch
- Knowledge of: JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML / CSS, React
- Knowledge of Cypress and Gherkin
- Experience with Scrum / Atlassian tools / Git
- Focus on quality: software testing, risk analysis
- Ability to perform code and design reviews
- Knowledge of laboratory processes is a plus
- Hands-on, can-do mentality
- Competencies: analytical, communicative, problem-solving, ownership, involvement
