Due to its growth, Skalar Analytical is recruiting a field service engineer for the West/North-West of France, based in Le Mans, Angers or Tours, or for the Grand Est region + Luxembourg and French-speaking Belgium, based in Nancy.
Job responsibilities:
• Installation of analysers in customer laboratories
• Training customers in the use and maintenance of analysers
• Routine preventive maintenance visits
• Responding to emergency calls and repairs
• Diagnosing and resolving faults
• Provision of written reports detailing activities
Job requirements:
• 2 to 5 years of higher education in physical measurement, instrumentation, chemistry
• Experience in a similar role as a service engineer would be an advantage, however laboratory technicians and engineers seeking a field role will also be considered.
• Excellent customer relations skills
• Willingness to travel throughout France with frequent overnight stays (4 nights per week) and occasionally abroad
• Willingness to undergo 6 weeks of initial training at Skalar's headquarters in Breda, the Netherlands
• Valid driving licence is essential
• Fluency in English
